BLAX - Berlin Lacrosse (Berlin, Germany)
.  Available: August 2015.
The BLAX – Berlin Lacrosse Club, founded in 1993, is the oldest and most traditional lacrosse club in Germany. In 2008 BLAX joined one of the biggest clubs in Berlin, Sport Club Charlottenburg, and now competes under the name SCC BLAX.

We have two women’s teams and one youth team. We are looking for a coach for all three, whereas the two senior teams practice together.

In the summer, Blax successfully organises Europe's biggest lacrosse tournament, the Berlin Open.

League: The women’s team used to play in the most competitive German league, the North league. Three years ago, BLAX decided to support the foundation of new teams in the eastern part of Germany and founded the East league to give these teams a place to compete. The new league has grown to five teams so far.

We are looking for a lacrosse coach who has been playing lacrosse her/himself, has already gained some coaching experience, and mostly is excited about taking our club to a new level. Season starts in September, so we would be glad to welcome our new coach in August.

Coaching duties would be practice twice a week in the evening (2h womens and 1,5h youth), attending team meetings, attending games on the weekends, attending playoffs and German Championships (end May/mid June).

We are a growing program of about 45 to 50 girls and women from different ages. Students, workers, pupils etc. form this team. We work hard, and there are a lot of players taking responsibility for their team.

Our first goal is to become the German Champion in the future (in 2014 we came in 4th; this year we aim to finish 3rd).

We surely have to talk about salary, since lacrosse is only a small sport in Germany, and the clubs don't have a lot of money. Still we can help finding a job and an apartment as well as help with learning German. We want our coach to feel at home in Berlin.

At last, we offer the most exciting city in Europe: Berlin!  Appointment: Part-Time

Contact for application and information: Dominique Panther, Captain, Weserstr. 210, Berlin, Berlin 12047.  Phone: 004917670385705  E-mail: dominique_panther@hotmail.com

Brooklyn Crescents Lacrosse (Brooklyn, Ny)
.  Available: March 2015.
The Brooklyn Crescents Lacrosse Club is looking for coaches to help grow the game in NYC. The continuing success depends on coaches. This past fall, we had a record 500 players within our program.

The club is a fully volunteer-run, 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Payers and coaches reflect the diverse neighborhoods of NYC. Our club teaches boys and girls preK-12 the fundamental/advanced skills and values of lacrosse (e.g., commitment, teamwork, integrity, passion, community pride). We strive to make lacrosse accessible by introducing this great game to children picking up a stick for the first time as well as providing quality instruction and competition for more advanced players. This year, we expanded our offering to after-school programs.

Our program’s foundation is built on beginner clinics for the spectrum of age groups. Teams play other lacrosse organizations throughout the tri-state area. Over 150 players have graduated our program since we began in 2006. Graduates have gone on to play at local high schools, boarding schools, and at the college level. The Crescents’ coaching staff is experienced and professionally trained, focused on developing the best in all players. For this spring, the Crescents are looking for volunteer coaches and also have select paid coaching positions for our after-school initiative.
