The NCAA Division I Administration Cabinet has appointed Siena lacrosse head coach John Svec to the Men's Lacrosse Rules Committee. Svec's appointment is effective September 1st. More
University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse alumnus Kevin Leveille (2000-03) was selected as the United States National Team captain for the squad's upcoming competition at the 2014 FIL World Championship, as voted upon by his Team USA peers Tuesday evening. More
The National Lacrosse League has announced that Pat Coyle and Chris Hall have been voted into the NLL Hall of Fame as inductees of the Class of 2014. Coyle becomes the first defenseman in league history to win induction, while Hall was elected in his first year of eligibility. More
Willie Scroggs, a former three-time NCAA men's lacrosse championship coach, was approved as the new secretary-rules editor for the sport by the NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel on Wednesday. More

The Johns Hopkins University athletics community is mourning the loss today of Wilson Fewster, who coached the Blue Jay lacrosse, football, wrestling and soccer teams and was a four-year standout on the men's lacrosse team. Fewster passed away on Wednesday, June 11. More
A charter member of the Hobart College Athletics Hall of Fame, Donald "A-to-Z" Aleksiewicz '73 died unexpectedly at his home in Aurora, Colorado, on June 2. The two-sport star was a dominant running back and a national champion in lacrosse. More
The Hobart and William Smith Colleges community is mourning the loss of Hobart Athletics Hall of Famer, lacrosse great Frederick "Rick" Blick '78. The three-time national goalkeeper of the year died unexpectedly on June 2. A celebration of Blick's life is tentatively scheduled for June 21 at the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco. More
Bill Martens died this week at age 84. Martens, a graduate of Adelphi University, coached football and lacrosse at Half Hollow Hills from 1960-1969, winning a Long Island championship in 1962 with Ray Enners as captain. He served as defensive coordinator at Ward Melville from 1974-2005, during which time the team won seven state championships under head coach Joe Cuozzo. More
Alex P. Davis, 20, a player on the SUNY Geneseo lacrosse team, was found dead on Sunday at the house of an off-campus fraternity where he was a member, although he lived on campus in a residence hall. More
