Kevin Kelley has been selected as the new men's lacrosse coach at Rockhurst University. Men's lacrosse will begin its first year as an intercollegiate program at Rockhurst in 2013-2014. More
American University has announced a three-year contract extension for head lacrosse coach Emma Wallace, which runs through the 2016 season. Wallace had served as interim head coach for the 2013 season. More
Sierra Nevada College has announced the start of women's and men's lacrosse programs for the 2013-2014 season. They have hired Nora Fallon-Oben as head coach of the women's program. More
The Men's Lacrosse Club at Florida State University announced Wednesday, May 8th that Head Coach Bill Harkins will not return as the Seminoles' coach next season. More
David Olliver has been named head coach for men's lacrosse at Coker College. He had served as interim head coach since March 7. More
The MLL's Chesapeake Bayhawks have announced that John Lamon has been hired to head coach Dave Cottle's coaching staff for the 2013 season. Lamon will stand as Cottle's assistant coach and bring valuable experience from his 2010 championship bout with the team under former head coach Brendan Kelly. More
Richard Stockton College has selected New Jersey native and three-time All-American Kim Williams as its first women's lacrosse coach. Williams, a native of Long Valley, New Jersey, will lead the Stockton program into its first season of intercollegiate competition in spring 2014. More
Rob Harris joins the Florida Southern women's lacrosse coaching staff mid-season as an assistant coach under head coach Kara Reber. Harris, who was a collegiate lacrosse player at Grand Valley State University, brings four and half years of coaching experience since graduating from Grand Valley in 2008. More

Georgetown Prep head coach Kevin Giblin won the 400th game of his career on Thursday, April 25, when his Hoyas defeated Episcopal High School (Va.), 12-2. More
Three US Lacrosse member coaches are among the 20 winners of the Positive Coaching Alliance's (PCA) Double-Goal Coach Awards. The winners were Alexa Caldwell, a girls' youth coach with the Asheville School in Asheville, N.C.; David Vollmer, boys' coach at Lamar High School in Houston, Texas; and Darren Lawlor, boys' coach at Pacific Ridge High School in Carlsbad, California. More
US Lacrosse announced that Mike Avenali with PCLOA in California and Scott Fiorentino with CNYLOA each received a $2,500 Scott Boyle Memorial Observers Program grant. Holly Souza with MLUA and Patricia Takahashi with NCWLUA each received an inaugural $2,500 Susie Ganzenmuller Observers Program grant. More

Obituaries
Section Five lacrosse lost a great supporter and friend with the passing of life-long lacrosse enthusiast Bruce R. Teague, Sr. Bruce played lacrosse at Geneva High School and was on a national championship team at Cornell University. More
Paul Schimoler, Cornell '89, passed away on Friday, February 13th at the age of 45 after brief battle with cancer. Schimoler was a four-time All-Ivy and four-time All-American goalie for the Big Red, and he was the Ivy League's Player of the Year in his senior season. More
