The NILCA is please to announce that Jim Amen, Jr. will become the inaugural Executive Director of the National Interscholastic Lacrosse Association. Amen currently serves as the Director of Athletics at Manhasset High School in Nassau County. More
Duke lacrosse head coach Kerstin Kimel has announced the addition of two staff members to the program for the 2015 campaign. Former Duke standout Virginia Crotty Danowski joins the Blue Devils as a volunteer assistant coach. and Laurie Tortorelli DeLuca will support the program as a volunteer operations assistant. More
Immaculata University Director of Athletics and Recreation Patricia Canterino is pleased to announce that Hugh Donovan has been hired as the head coach of the Mighty Mac men's lacrosse program. More
Syracuse lacrosse head coach Gary Gait has announced that Regy Thorpe has been promoted to associate head coach. Thorpe is entering his sixth season as a member of Gait's staff. More
Kasey Mock and Sarah Jane Leder have joined the GW lacrosse coaching staff under the direction of first-year head coach Tracy Coyne. Mock has been named an assistant coach for the Colonials, while Leder will serve as a volunteer assistant. More
Lebanon Valley College has added Anna Meerbach to its women's lacrosse coaching staff. More
Head Coach Andy Copelan has announced the addition of Derek Marks to the Fairfield University lacrosse team as a volunteer assistant coach. Marks brings extensive experience as a collegiate head coach and assistant to the sidelines. More
New York and Boston executed a trade that will see midfielders Paul Rabil and Mike Stone go to New York in exchange for midfielder Max Seibald, defenseman Brian Karalunas, and several college draft picks. More

Navy senior lacrosse player Brendan Gaine (Bay Shore, N.Y.) is the recipient of one of the highest honors a midshipman athlete can earn at the Academy, as his teammates have elected him to serve as team captain. More

The Colorado Mammoth announced on Wednesday that Gavin Prout, the team's all-time leader in points (664) and assists (459), has retired from the National Lacrosse League after signing a one-day contract with the franchise. More

The Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse program and members of the University community are mourning the loss of freshman defenseman Jeremy Huber. Huber died in his room on campus on Sunday night (January 25-26). More
Hofstra University, the Department of Athletics and the Pride Men's Lacrosse program mourn the passing of student-athlete Joe Ferriso, who passed away Saturday from injuries suffered in a car accident. More
Bob Buhmann, the goaltender who led Cornell to victory in the first NCAA championship game in 1971, has passed away. More
Former NLL commissioner Jim Jennings passed away today at the age of 53 after a four-year battle with cancer. Jennings was appointed the league's Commissioner in September 2000 and served for eight seasons before stepping down in January 2009. More
