Devils Suffer 9-4 Setback at Muhlenberg

(Allentown, PA) - In what was essentially an early playoff game in the Centennial Conference, it was Muhlenberg College who came out on top with a 9-4 decision over Dickinson. Injuries continue to plague the Red Devils as they slip to 6-5 overall and 1-4 in the CC.

The Mules led 2-0 at the end of the first period and matched the Devils in the second to lead 4-2 at the break. Muhlenberg held a 3-1 advantage in the third and closed out with a 2-1 fourth to improve to 5-4 and 3-3.

Derek Still (Oreland, PA/Penn Charter) scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Devil attack. Casey Finkelstein (Owings Mills, MD/McDonogh) and Chris Dodson (Bethesda, MD/Landon) also scored for the Devils.

Matt Kogelschatz (Baltimore, MD/St. Paul's) anchored the defense, controlling a game-high five ground balls. Russell Matthews (Chestertown, MD/Kent County) and Tyler Magann (Easton, PA/The Hill School) combined for 11 saves in the Devil cage.

The Devils return home to face Washington College on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
