Goucher Rolls Over Moravian
TOWSON, Md. - Ten different players scored goals for Goucher today as the Gophers rolled over Moravian, 20-2, to remain tied with Drew for first place in the Landmark Conference.
After a goal by Moravian's Jason Tosches 3:30 into the contest tied the score at 1-1, the Gophers responded by reeling off 11 unanswered goals, taking a 12-1 lead on Jake Fratella's goal with 4:09 remaining in the first half. Goucher (8-3, 3-0 :Landmark) led 14-2 at the break.
Casey Hughes of the Gophers opened the scoring in the second half with his fifth goal of the game. Dave Duff and Brian Hoge both contributed three goals to the victory.
The Gophers outshot the Greyhounds (4-8, 0-4 Landmark), 62-24, and held the upper hand in ground balls, 59-37.
