Late Run Carries Muhlenberg to Win over McDaniel

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Kyle Farris and Brent Siebold each recorded two goals and two assists to lead Muhlenberg to a 10-7 win over McDaniel in Conference (CC) men's lacrosse action on Saturday.

Matt Buschman (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) led the Green Terror (4-8, 0-6 CC) with two goals and an assist while Jed Barnes (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) went 11-for-19 on faceoffs.

The Mules (6-4, 4-3 CC) netted the game's final six goals to overcome a 7-4 deficit with 3:36 to play in the third quarter. Jon DeLuca and Farris tallied 44 seconds apart to pull the hosts with 7-6 at the end of the third quarter both of Siebold's markers keyed a 4-0 fourth quarter.

Just over a minute into the game, Siebold found Paul Munday to stake Muhlenberg to an early 1-0 lead. Just 1:22 later, Buschman finished a solo run to knot the game at 1-all.

Trailing 3-1 with 6:26 remaining in the first quarter, Mike Hatton (Corning, N.Y./Corning East) started five-goal flurry to put the Green Terror on top 6-3 entering the intermission.

Andrew Lolly and Buschman exchanged goals to open the third quarter before the Mules' late rally won it.

McDaniel returns to action at Haverford on Saturday. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
