#5 Hamilton Tops Rochester to Win 11th Straight Game

CLINTON, N.Y. -- Kaillie Briscoe '09 scored four goals and collected four assists to become Hamilton College's all-time scoring leader as the Continentals defeated the visiting University of Rochester, 20-9, in a Liberty League women's lacrosse game at Campus Road Athletic Field on April 22.

Audrey Nebergall '10 scored four goals for Hamilton (13-1, 6-0 Liberty), which won its 11th straight game overall, 18th in a row at home and 16th consecutive game against league opponents. Liz Rave '10 scored three goals and posted a game-high six draw controls. Jen McGowan '08 and Kate Marek '09 each scored two goals and assisted on another. Marek picked up three ground balls. Nicole Tetreault '08 and Sarah Bray '11 each scored twice. Tetreault registered a game-high three caused turnovers, while Marek collected three ground balls. Kate Fowler '10 made seven saves.

Allyson Hogan '11 and Mary Kate Hannan '09 led Rochester (3-8, 2-4 Liberty) with two goals and one assist apiece. Lindsay Dakin '09 scored one goal and assisted on two others. Abby Woodward '09 scored twice. Marlena Fisher '09 had one goal and one assist and caused two turnovers. Megan Jenkins '09 collected four draw controls and assisted on a goal. Mimi Hong '08 scooped up three ground balls. Leslie Dube '09 made seven saves in a losing effort.

Jaclyn Miller '09 relieved Dube in goal with 4 minutes, 8 seconds left in the game and made one save. Rochester actually scored the game's first two goals before Hamilton scored the next six and nine of the next 11 to lead, 9-4, at the half. Rochester scored first again to start the second half, but Hamilton answered with three straight goals to begin to put the game away. The Continentals scored five times in the final 8:12 to provide the final margin.

Hamilton outshot Rochester, 35-18. The Continentals lead the all-time series, 23-5.
