Scranton Shut Down in 2nd Half in Loss to Rowan
GLASSBORO, N.J. - The University of Scranton managed only one goal in the second-half in dropping a 12-5 decision to Rowan University in non-conference action Tuesday evening.
Freshman attacker Caroline Pryor (Robbinsville, N.J./Notre Dame) and sophomore attacker Kristen Marquino (Baldwin, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) scored two goals apiece for the Royals, who trailed by only one at intermission, 5-4, before being out-shot 26-3 in the second-half by the Profs, who improved to 12-3 on the season. The loss was the second straight for Scranton, now 8-7.
Junior midfielder Diana Rocklein (Islip Terrace, N.Y./East Islip) contributed a goal and senior attacker Kaitlyn Mimnaugh (New City, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) added an assist for the Royals, who will close out the regular-season against Goucher College in Landmark Conference action this Saturday, April 26, in Towson, Maryland, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
