MANSFIELD, Conn. – Ten different players contributed points as the top-seeded Eastern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team eliminated No. 4 seeded University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, 20-3, Thursday in the semifinals of the 2008 Little East Conference playoffs.

Eastern (10-6), last year's champion, faces second-seeded University of Southern Maine Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the title match. The Huskies edged No. 3 seed Keene State College, 17-16, in Thursday's other semifinal game.

After coming away with a 14-10 win over the Corsairs when the teams met in the regular season April 10, Eastern put this one away early by scoring 12 of the first 13 goals over the first 20 minutes of play.

Lily Anderson (Portland) had four goals and Brooke Wayte (Bellport, NY) three to power Eastern, which accumulated a 36-8 advantage in shots. Taylor MacDonald (Oak Bluffs, MA) won a career-high seven draws for Eastern and also had four ground ball and caused two turnovers. Jackie Bivona (Middlebury) added five ground balls and Allison Levine (Medford, NY) three.
