All-Northeast-10 Teams and Player, Coach Awards

Easton, Mass. (May 4) -- Saint Anselm men's lacrosse senior midfielder Steve Trocki (Braintree, Mass.) and junior attack Chris Murphy (Winchester, Mass.) have both been honored as a Northeast-10 Second Team All-Conference selections.

Trocki had 29 points on 25 goals and four assists in 15 games for the Hawks. He also had four hat tricks, eight multi-goal games, two game-winning goals and six man-up goals. He also had 35 groundballs, seven caused turnovers and with an assist in the NE-10 Tournament game at Saint Michael's, scored his 100th career point.

Murphy was the team's leading scorer with 50 points on 34 goals and 16 assists, all career highs for the junior. He also added two game-winning goals, three man-up goals and 36 groundballs. Murphy surpassed the 100 career point mark earlier this season in a seven-goal outburst in an overtime win over Southern New Hampshire.

The Hawks finished the season with an 8-7 overall record and tied a Saint Anselm school record with a 6-4 mark in the Northeast-10.

WALTHAM, Mass. Bentley sophomore defenseman Matt Allen (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth HS) was named to the Northeast-10 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference second team, the conference announced on Sunday at the NE-10 Championship in Syracuse, N.Y. Allen is the first Falcon to earn All-Conference accolades since 2005, receiving the honor as voted on by the league's coaches.

Allen played in all 14 games this season, starting all but one. The sophomore longstick picked up 28 ground balls and led the team with 25 caused turnovers. Allen also scored his first collegiate goal this season and tallied one assist.

Bentley finished with a 7-7 record this season and reached the NE-10 Tournament.

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. Mike Ball (Salem, NH) and John Delanoy (Lansdale, PA) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's lacrosse team were named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Team announced Sunday. Ball was named to the First Team, while Delanoy was a Second Team selection.

Ball, in his first full season with the men's lacrosse team after having his first season cut short due to injury, recorded 55 goals and five assists for 60 points in 12 games, tops in the Northeast-10. He led all of Division II in points and goals per game for a majority of the season and currently ranks fourth nationally in points and second in goals per game. Ball was a two-time Northeast-10 Player of the Week selection and recorded multiple goals in all 12 games for SNHU.

For Delanoy, it marks his third selection to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Team, as he was a First Team selection in 2006 and a second team selection in 2007. This season, Delanoy, a preseason All-American, ranked third on the Penmen in scoring, totaling 17 goals and 20 assists for 37 points. Delanoy recorded at least one goal in nine of 12 games, including a season-high four tallies in a win over Franklin Pierce. Delanoy eclipsed the 100-point plateau this season and served as a tri-captain.
