Brian Novotny Named Associate AD at Seton Hill

GREENSBURG, PA – Seton Hill University's head men's lacrosse coach Brian Novotny has been named an Associate Athletic Director at the school. He takes over this position in addition to his coaching duties.

Novotny will begin his fourth season as the Griffins head coach and led the Griffins to their first ever winning season in school history with a 9-7 record in 2007, including two victories over crosstown rival St. Vincent.

Novotny joined the Seton Hill coaching staff after spending one season as head coach at Mt. Lebanon High School. While at Mt Lebanon, Novotny led the Blue Devils to the league championship in 2003 in addition to the Pennsylvania State Finals and the Midwest Scholastic Lacrosse Association Finals. Before coaching at Mt.Lebanon, Brian was the defensive coordinator and head coach at Franklin Regional High School for seven seasons.

Coach Novotny played lacrosse at the University of Pittsburgh and holds a degree in Secondary Education. He and his wife, Nicole along with son Grant are living in the Pittsburgh area.
