Brian Tilley Joins the Lacrosse Staff at Oneonta State

ONEONTA, NY – Oneonta State Head Lacrosse Coach Dan Mahar has announced the addition of Brian Tilley to the 2009 Red Dragon's coaching staff. Tilley joins Oneonta State following a successful playing career at the University of Hartford.

"Brian is a young man of outstanding character and will be a tremendous asset to our program," stated Mahar. "His playing experience at both the University of Hartford and St. Anthony's give him a great foundation for coaching and his Long Island background makes him a perfect fit for one of our primary recruiting bases."

Tilley was a four-year letter winner for the Hawks who played in 57 games and scored 42 goals while adding 26 assists for 68 points. He ranked second on the team in scoring in 2008 with 15 goals and four assists for 19 points and was a 2005 America East All-Rookie Team selection.

"I am excited to be a part of the Red Dragons coaching staff. We have a lot of talent and I'm looking forward to competing in the SUNYAC," said Tilley.

Prior to attending the University of Hartford, the Lake Ronkonkoma, NY native played lacrosse at St. Anthony's High School in South Huntington, NY and Stony Brook Preparatory School. As a senior at St. Anthony's he earned the lacrosse sportsmanship award. He also played soccer and wrestled in high school.
