Neumann Named to Men's Lacrosse Staff at Seton Hill

GREENSBURG, PA – Seton Hill University head men's lacrosse coach Brian Novotny has announced the addition of Michael Neumann to the 2009 Griffins coaching staff. Neumann joins the staff after a very successful playing career at Gordon College.

"I am very excited to add Michael to the staff", said Novotny, "Michael was an excellent player, and he continually exceeded expectations at every level. Michael is a tremendous student of the game. He has a tremendous understanding of how the game should be played."

While at Gordon, Neumann was named All Commonwealth Conference for four straight seasons including the last three as a first team selection. Neumann was a four year starter and amassed a total of 187 career points. During his senior campaign Neumann was selected as a team captain and earned national recognition with 2.5 assists per game which placed him third in the nation in that category.

"We are very fortunate to have attracted such a quality coach. Michael is going to be a great addition to our program. What sticks out to you most when talking with Michael is that he is such a high character person, he is a tremendous young man, someone that our student athletes will learn from both on and off the field."

The Griffins will open their season February 15th against Belmont Abbey College.
