Rochester Player Struck by Car and Seriously Injured

A site visitor reports that "Allyson Hogan, a member of the University of Rochester women's lacrosse team and the twin sister of Syracuse goalkeeper Liz Hogan, was very seriously injured as a pedestrian ... [when she was struck by a car] in Rochester late Saturday night. She had surgery to remove pressure on her brain and is in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Hogan also suffered multiple orthopedic trauma."

You can find more information in an article in the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle. That report quotes Rochester police Capt. Todd Baxter as saying that the driver was "unlicensed as far as operation, but we have checked him for DWI and he is not intoxicated."
