W&L, Farmingdale Announce 2009 Captains, Schedule
LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Gene McCabe has announced the Generals' team captains and schedule for the 2009 season. Leading W&L into its 62nd season of play will be a trio of senior captains, goalkeeper Connor Locke (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephens & St. Agnes) and midfielders Tim Skeen (Baltimore, Md./Towson) and Harry St. John (Essex Fells, N.J./West Essex).
Locke started all 15 games last season in between the pipes after transferring from Loyola College. He notched a .550 save percentage and an 8.19 goals-against average in 820 minutes of action.
Skeen is a three-time All-ODAC selection, who enters his senior campaign with 105 career points. Last season, he started all 15 games and finished tied for second on the team with 42 points (17 g, 25 a).
St. John is also a three-time All-ODAC honoree and a 2008 Honorable Mention All-American. He played in all 15 games a season ago and led the team in scoring with 43 points on 30 goals and 13 assists. He enters his final season with 107 career points.
The Generals' 2009 schedule features 15 regular season contests, nine of which will be played at the newly constructed Wilson Field. W&L also has nine evening dates on the schedule.
The regular season begins by traveling to Mary Washington on Feburary 25 and ends with a 7:00 pm game against Lynchburg College on April 22. In between, the Generals will play eight non-conference games against the likes of Colorado College, DeSales, Washington College, King's Point, Franklin & Marshall, Sewanee, Greensboro and Middlebury, who the Generals will meet at St. Stephen's & St. Agnes in Alexandria, Va., on March 28.

Farmingdale, N.Y. – Farmingdale State's Head Men's Lacrosse Coach, Tim Tuttle, is pleased to announce the Rams 2009 captains and schedule. Senior attackman Sean Maxwell (West Babylon, N.Y./NYIT), senior goalkeeper Ted Leone (East Meadow, N.Y./ East Meadow H.S.) and sophomore F/O midfielder Adam Zuar (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst H.S.) have been chosen as team captains for the 2009 season.
Sean Maxwell – Senior, a 2008 Second Team Skyline All-Conference selection, returns to the Rams as their leader on the offensive side of the field. He scored 22 goals and had eight assists last year. Sean emerged as a big scoring threat in '08, having only scored five goals and adding five assists in his first two seasons with the Rams. "Sean's production was tremendous for us last season. Learning a new system isn't always easy for some guys, but Sean adjusted well; we expect big things from him this season", said Coach Tuttle.
