No. 6 Davenport Downs No. 15 Stonehill

ATHENS, Tenn. - For the second straight day, Davenport Men's Lacrosse Team has taken down a Top-25 opponent, this time #15 Stonehill College 16-12. The win lifts DU to 2-0 on the young season as they will take on host Tenneseee Wesleyan on Sunday.

In a game that featured the #6 and #15 ranked teams in the country, Davenport jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they held a two to three goal lead for a majority of the game.

Shawn Beer posted his second straight big game as he finished with 5 goals and 3 assists. Jordan Richtsmeier also came up big with 4 goals and 5 assists and the Panthers also received scoring from Gavin Morris (1g, 1a) Jeff Samuels (1g) Taylor Keyworth (1a), Jordan Steger (1g), Jordy Sayers (1g), Oliver Wade (2 g), Dan Catzere (1a), Adam Bowers (1g) and Jeremy Simms (1g 1a).

Jeremy Simms was huge for Davenport on the faceoffs as he won 22 of 28 on the day and Jake Stricker played very solid in goal to earn the win.
