Crellin Scores 100th in Dickinson Win Over Haverford

(Haverford, Pa.)- The Dickinson College women's lacrosse team improved to 3-0 in the Centennial Conference with a 10-6 win at Haverford on Saturday.

Junior Alysa Crellin (Little Compton, R.I./Portsmouth Abbey School) wasted very little time scoring her 100th career goal. She struck just 30 seconds in and again just 32 seconds later to put the Devils on the board as she became the 10th Dickinson player to reach the century mark.

Classmate Abby Larson (Easton, Md./Gunston Day) followed up with a goal 35 second later to make the score 3-0 at the 28:23 mark.

Sophomore Lucy West (Bethesda, Md./Holton-Arms) gave the Devils a 4-0 advantage with 23:03 remaining in the half.

The 'Fords stormed back with a 4-0 run to tie the game with 6:52 on the clock. Larson gave the Devils a one-goal edge at the break, scoring on a free position with 16 seconds to play.

Sophomore Kelsey Muir (Glen Mills, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) scored three goals as the Devils again started the half with a four-goal run. The Devils led 9-4 with 19:20 remaining in the game.

The 'Fords managed a pair of goals around a Blair Thompson (Portsmouth, N.H./Holderness) tally for the final count of 10-6.

Crellin finished with two goals and two assists for the day. Senior Amy Jennings (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh) scored once and dished out three assists.

Larson added a game-high six ground balls to her two goals. Dana Bunting (Bishopsville, Md./Worcester Prep) caused a pair of turnovers, controlled two draws and handed out a pair of assists.

Jessie Clark (Devon, Pa./Conestoga) stopped six shots to earn the win in goal.

Lauren Finkel led Haverford (7-2, 1-2) with a pair of goals. Sioban Neitzel stopped six shots as well in goal for Haverford.

The Red Devils improve to 7-3 overall. They travel to Muhlenberg on Wednesday for a 4:30 start.
