PHILADELPHIA, Pa. Senior attackman Bill McCutcheon (Chatham H.S./Chatham, N.J.) scored two goals and added an assist as Towson University (4-4, 2-0) overcame a 4-2 deficit with five unanswered goals in the fourth quarter en route to its third straight win, a 7-4 Colonial Athletic Association victory over Drexel University (4-5, 0-1) at the Dragons' Vidas Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers also presented Coach Tony Seaman with the 250th victory of his college career. In his 28th season as a college coach, Seaman now has a 250-142 career record and became the 16th coach in NCAA Division I history to reach the milestone.
It didn't feel any different than the 249th win, said Seaman, who is one of eight active coaches with 250 wins. As long as the wins pile up and the losses don't, I will be a happy man.
The Tigers trailed the Dragons by 4-1 with 11:17 remaining in the third quarter when junior midfielder Adam Dennis (DeMatha H.S./Fairfax, Va.) scored an unassisted goal. After that point, the Tiger defense stepped up and shut Drexel out for the remaining 26 minutes of the game.
