WESTMINSTER, Md. – Jessica Crane and Lauren Woodman each recorded three goals to lead No. 6 Gettysburg to an 11-8 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse action on Tuesday. Brittany Baer (Westminster, Md./Westminster) paced the Green Terror (6-4, 2-2 CC) with six of the team's eight goals, bringing her season total to a CC-high 46 markers.

After falling behind 2-1 nearly 10 and a half minutes into the game, the Bullets (9-0, 4-0 CC) reeled off the next four tallies to key their 11th consecutive win over McDaniel. Baer opened the scoring 6:14 into the game before Crane evened the game 3 minutes, 9 seconds later.

Brittany Lines (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) gave the Green Terror its final lead at the 19:37 mark before Hollis Stahl opened the four-goal flurry with a free-position goal. Three straight Woodman goals stretched the lead to 5-2 with 8:42 remaining in the first half before Baer halted the stretch just over a minute later.

Baer once again made it a one-goal game 3:04 after the break but Crane and Stahl went back-to-back to open up a three-goal cushion for the second time. Baer finished one of two Lindsey McDonald (Germantown, Md./Damascus) assists but Baer traded goals with three different Gettysburg players over the final 20:56 to set the final margin.

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Sixth-ranked Gettysburg College received all it could handle from host McDaniel College and leading scorer Brittany Baer Tuesday afternoon, but the Bullets held strong down the final stretch, blanking the Green Terror over the final eight minutes of regulation en route to an 11-8 Centennial Conference victory. Gettysburg remained unbeaten with a 9-0 overall mark and posted its fourth conference win in as many tries.

Junior Kristen Krammer (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg), the reigning CC Defensive Player of the Week for the last two weeks, made eight saves and scooped up five ground balls for the Bullets, including notching her 300th career save early in the second period. She was helped out defensively by sophomore Becky Lutz (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) who posted six caused turnovers and four draw controls. Junior Jessica Crane (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury) led the scoring for the Bullets with three goals and one assist.

McDaniel (6-4, 2-2 CC) put in the game's opening score as Baer, the leading scorer in the Centennial, found the back of the net at 23:46 for the first of her game-high six goals. Crane tossed in the equalizer for Gettysburg three minutes later, before Brittany Lines answered right back to put the hosts up 2-1.

The Bullets mounted a four-goal run over an eight-minute span to take the lead for good. Junior Hollis Stahl (Highstown, N.J./Peddie School) sent in her 100th career goal on a free position shot at 16:05, followed by three consecutive scores by junior Lauren Woodman (Denver, Colo./Kent Denver), the last at 8:42 giving the visitors a 5-2 edge and forcing a McDaniel timeout.

The Green Terror regrouped and pulled to within a goal with back-to-back scores by Baer and Kelly Scheler, but junior Lexie Hearn (Old Greenwich, Conn./Old Greenwich) lit the lamp with just four seconds before the half to give Gettysburg a 6-4 margin at the break.
