No. 6 Hamilton Rolls to Victory over St. Lawrence

CANTON, N.Y. -- Kaillie Briscoe recorded her 300th career point and visiting Hamilton College rolled to a 14-4 win against St. Lawrence University in a Liberty League women's lacrosse game played at North Country Field on April 4.

Briscoe is the first player in program history to reach the milestone. She finished the game with four goals and three assists. Liz Rave and Audrey Nebergall added three goals apiece. Rave leads the team with 23 goals and Nebergall has 14 in the last four games. Sarah Bray chipped in two goals and three ground balls. Liz Benjamin caused four turnovers and Kate Fowler made seven saves.

Amanda Forbes paced the St. Lawrence offense with two goals. Lexi Wisnowski came off the bench to contribute four ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers.

Nationally ranked No. 6 Hamilton (8-1 overall, 4-0 Liberty) has won six straight games and 24 in a row against league opponents. The defending NCAA Division III champions held a 33-17 advantage in shots, including 24-6 in the first half.

Rave scored twice in the opening 3:53 of the first half and the Continentals never allowed a goal in building a 10-0 lead in the first 30 minutes. Hamilton extended its lead to 13-0 on goals by Bray, Nebergall and Briscoe to open the second half. The Saints (4-4, 1-2) finally got on the scoreboard with 10:59 left on Forbes' first goal. By that time, the outcome wasn't in doubt.
