Sophomore attacker Katie Wallis scored six goals and added three assists, and freshman Catherine Kennedy added six goals and two assists to lead the University of Mary Washington women's lacrosse team to a 21-10 win over York College in Capital Athletic Conference play on Saturday at the Battleground. The Eagles improve to 9-5 on the season, and 5-1 in CAC play.

After falling behind, 1-0, the Eagles scored the game's next six goals, and led, 10-3, at halftime. York trimmed the lead to 13-7 in the second half, but the Eagles ended the game on an 8-3 run for the 21-10 final score.

Senior Julia Milner, junior Briattany Butler and freshman Allie Kimmelman each had two goals and two assists for the Eagles, and Lauren Callison added two goals and Kaitlin Aquino one. York was led by Megan Foy's five goals.

Mary Washington outshot the Spartans, 37-22, and had 24 ground balls to 22 for YCP. UMW freshman goalkeeper Danni Guigli had 10 saves, while York's Anne Feustle made 11 stops.

The Eagles will visit Christopher Newport University on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
