Adrian Shuts Down Washington & Jefferson
ADRIAN, Mich. -- Amanda Lambert fired in eight goals and added two assists as Adrian (Mich.) defeated Washington & Jefferson, 20-2, in women's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon.
Rachel Johnston added seven goals for the Bulldogs (8-3), who outshot W&J by a 34-13 margin. Six different Adrian players scored during the victory.
The Bulldogs scored the game's first eight goals and held a 12-1 halftime advantage. Laura Finfrock earned the win in goal after making four saves in 48 minutes of action.
W&J's goals were scored by senior Laura Peery (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) and freshman Brittney Oake (Bell Mead, N.J./Montgomery). Sophomore goalie Amber Kuntz (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane) was credited with five saves.
The Presidents (2-6) look to snap their three-game losing streak on Wednesday when hosting Oberlin at 7:00 pm at Alexandre Stadium.
