Medaille Defeated on the Road at Trine

The Medaille College men's lacrosse team was searching for something positive after their 22-5 loss at Trine University. That positive came in the form of a milestone, as senior midfielder David Bennett (Macedon, NY/Palmyra-Macedon) tied the all-time scoring record at Medaille as he tallied a goal and an assist.

Bennett now has 64 goals and 57 assists for 121 points in his illustrious career. That ties the career mark held by Bill Barnack ('06), who finished his career with 74 goals and 47 helpers. The Mavs were in the game early, but a tough second quarter did them in as they fell for the fourth straight time.

Sophomore attacker Joe Glieco (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) also finished with a goal and an assist while senior goalkeeper Ben Dlugosh (Palmyra, NY/Palmyra-Macedon) stopped 20 Trine shots.

The Mavs are now 0-4 on the year and they will look to rebound on Wednesday (3/25) as they will head to Brockport State for a 4:00 p.m. faceoff.
