Drew Wins Landmark Decision Versus Moravian

Drew women's lacrosse cruised past Moravian in a Landmark Conference contest on Tuesday, 16-3. Aileen Musynske scored three goals and Stacie Brown added two goals and two assists as the Rangers improved to 5-6, 2-0 in the Landmark Conference. Sarah Carman had two goals and an assist the Greyhounds.

Drew led 9-2 at halftime. The Rangers got on the board three times in the first ten minutes of play. Drew was deliberate on offense while working to get good shots. Cara Jeffries and Lyndsay Rossi each scored from eight-meters while Sloane Coles scored an unassisted goal from open play. Samantha Silver scored one and then set up Rossi for the next one.

Down 5-0, the Greyhounds scored the next two through Carman and Paige Warbick before Drew closed out the half on a 4-0 run. Aileen Musynske started and finished the run with goals with eight minutes and five seconds left in the half. Brook Connell and Stacie Brown each scored in between Musynske's book ends.

The second half was more of the same for the Rangers as they outscored their guests, 7-1. Jeffries tallied twice in the half and Emily Mastella had a goal and an assist. The Rangers gave up just one late goal to Carman.

The win sees Drew improve to 2-0 in the Landmark as they begin their toughest stretch of conference play. Drew travels to face Scranton on Friday and Susquehanna on Saturday the 18th. The last game of the season should be a good one as the Rangers will host Landmark leaders Catholic. A non-conference game with Colorado College is tucked in the middle.
