Pfeiffer Falls to Limestone in Conference Play
Misenheimer, NC – The Pfeiffer men's lacrosse team fell 10-6 to the visiting Saints of Limestone College on Saturday afternoon. Pfeiffer falls to 7-4 overall and 3-2 in the conference, while Limestone improves to 7-3 overall and 4-1 in league play.
Pfeiffer was outshot 38-26 in the game and was edged out in ground balls 31-25. The Falcons managed 11 of 20 face-offs and had a success rate of 50 percent on extra man opportunities (2-4).
Kevin Anderson (Altamonte Springs, FL), Shawn Cross (Cranberry Township, PA), Jameson Shultz (High Point, NC) and Kyle Rockey (Charlotte, NC) all tallied two points on the day off of one goal and one assist apiece. Dan Mesler (Penn Yan, NY) added one goal and grabbed a team high four ground balls. Pfeiffer defenders Jake Milrod (Leesburg, VA) and Patrick Faulhaber (Apex, NC) scooped up three ground balls apiece. Falcon goalkeeper Jimmy Dyches (Abingdon, MD) made 14 saves in the game.
The Saints were led by Brendan Storrier (LaFayette, NY) who netted six goals. Limestone goalkeeper James Tuohy (Levittown, NY) made 10 saves in the game.

Misenheimer, NC – The Limestone College men's lacrosse team defeated Pfeiffer University, 10-6, to complete their regular season conference play. Saturday's win puts the Saints overall record at 7-3, with a 4-1 record in Conference Carolinas. Pfeiffer falls to 7-4 overall and 3-2 in the conference.
Limestone and Queens University are both tied atop the conference with records of 4-1, tying the two programs for the regular season championship. Limestone will earn the #1 seed in the Conference Carolinas tournament, with its head-to-head win over the Royals in early March.
Brendan Storrier (LaFayette, N.Y.) continued his strong April performance, netting a game-high six goals for the Saints. The senior opened the scoring in the first minute of play, but Pfeiffer responded shortly after with a goal from Derrick Ensor.
Storrier would give the Saints the lead again on an extra-man score, which was followed by a floury of Limestone goals. Sam Buppert (Eldersburg, Md.), Mike Poerstel (Annapolis, Md.), Eric Turner (Dublin, Ohio), and Thomas Langan (Potomac, Md.) would all score in the opening quarter, giving Limestone a 6-1 advantage, which they would not relinquish.

Pfeiffer, #3 seed, will take on #6 seed Lees McRae in Misenheimer, N.C., while #4 seed Belmont Abbey College will host #5 seed St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Belmont, N.C. The tournament semi-finals/finals will be held at Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. on April 17 & 19.
