No. 6 Washington & Lee Runs by Randolph-Macon

LEXINGTON, Va. - Senior attackman Seth Fishman (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Haverford) tallied a career-high seven goals and assisted on another as sixth-ranked Washington and Lee cruised to an 18-5 win over Randolph-Macon in ODAC men's lacrosse action on Saturday evening at Wilson Field.

The Generals (11-1, 3-0) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the opening six minutes of the game on the strength of a pair of goals from junior midfielder Kevin Feeney (Summit, N.J./Summit).

The Yellow Jackets (5-6, 0-4) got on the board at the 6:36 mark of the first quarter as first-year attackman Jake Leddy (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) scored off a feed from first-year midfielder Patrick Egan (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's). However, W&L scored the game's next four goals, including a trio from Fishman, to push out to an 8-1 lead with 5:06 left in the first half and cruised to the 13-goal final.

Fishman's career day augmented by two goals and two assists from sophomore attackman Spence Daw (Phoenix, Md./Loyola-Blakefield) and two goals and one assist by sophomore midfielder Drew Koeneman (St. Louis, Mo./MICDS).

Junior attackman Will Keigler (Timonium, Md./Gilman) chipped in one goal and two assists. Senior Connor Locke (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) played the opening 45 minutes in goal and made eight saves, while junior Matt Mason (Gladwyne, Pa./St. Mark's) and sophomores Ned Lundvall (Richmond, Va./Gilman) and Jason Lumpkin (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) all played during the final 15 minutes.

Randolph-Macon was led by first-year attackman Tyler Midwinter (Hamilton, Ont./Barton Secondary), who notched two goals. Egan and Leddy had one goal and one assist apiece. Sophomore Adam Liberto (Arnold, Md./St. Mary's) started and was tagged with the loss after allowing three goals. First-year Jason Crawford (Burlington, Ont./Brock University) played 38:45 and made seven saves, while sophomore Ray Wodarski (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) saw action for 18:22 and had two saves.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to second-ranked Roanoke College for a 7:00 pm contest.
