NEW LONDON, Conn.--Emily Mason (Williamstown, Mass.) netted three goals, dished out two assists and collected the 125th ground ball of her to spark the Connecticut College women's lacrosse team (4-8) in a16-11 victory against Eastern Connecticut State University (5-8) Thursday afternoon.

Rookie net- minder Ashleigh Kowtoniuk (Johnstown, Pa.) had 19 saves in the victory, limiting the Warriors to a single free position goal in nine attempts. Junior Sara Christopher (Andover, Mass.) chipped in with two goals and two assists in the triumph.

Abby Hill (Stoneham, Mass.) recorded a hat-trick with three goals, four draw controls and four ground balls. Hope Barone (North Kingstown, R.I.) tallied three goals, three draw controls and three caused turnovers.

Senior Paige Pascarelli (Wayne, Pa.) added two goals with one helper in the win. Pascarelli has piled up 75 goals and 24 assists in her career and is just one point shy of reaching the 100 point plateau in her career.

Eastern Connecticut State University freshman Nicole Shusdock (Norwalk, Conn.) scored three second half goals for the visitors to keep the game close. Ashley Del Vecchio (Fairfield, Conn.) contributed three goals and two draw controls for ECSU. Kritianna Ibsen (Shelton, Conn.) stopped 15 shots in the setback for the Warriors.

Del Vecchio accounted for two of the first four goals of the half and the visitors enjoyed a 4-2 advantage in the early going. The Camels countered with a 5-0 run to take a lead they would not relinquish. Christopher put the Camels on top for good at 5-4, ripping one off from point-blank range on a nifty look from Mason at 9:23. Katelyn Driscoll (Peabody, Mass.) had a hand in the next two goals, assisting Hill for the sixth goal before closing out the run with her 15th of the season with 6:31 remaining to make it a 7-4 game.

Megan Barrett (Setauket, N.Y.) ended the drought for the Warriors with an unassisted tally at 2:29. But if the Warriors were hoping for a comeback, Hope Barone had a different idea. Connecticut College's first year forward closed out the half with two quick strikes in a 19 second span and Connecticut College enjoyed a 10-5 lead at the intermission.

In the second stanza, the Camels extended their lead to 12-6 on a Christopher goal with 16:13 remaining. Shusdock scored three goals off of the Warrior bench in the second half to keep the game tight. ECSU pulled to within three on Shusdock's goal with 8:56 remaining. The Camels responded though, pushing the lead back to five with goals from Pascarelli and Mason.

Connecticut College was able to hold on for the 16-11 win.
