No. 3 Franklin & Marshall Dominates Haverford
LANCASTER, Pa. – The #3 Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse team cruised to a 20-5 senior day win over Haverford on in Centennial Conference (CC) action on Saturday. The Diplomats (13-1, 8-0 CC) honored ten members of the 69-8 class prior to the game, and started all ten in the win over the Fords (10-6, 4-5 CC).
Jen Pritchard scored six goals and assisted on two more while Ashley Bevington and Shannon Summers scored four apiece. Summers assisted on four more for her fifth eight-point performance of the season. Sarah Meisenberg scored one goal and assisted on three more. Lindsey Evans-Leary rounded out the senior class scoring with a free position tally.
Chelsea Meerbach took the start and her second decision in the cage this season, needing only two saves for the win.
Franklin & Marshall returns to action on Tuesday against Gettysburg. The winner of that contest will earn homefield advantage for the Centennial Conference Championships.
