Seton Hill Welcomes Brian Novotny as MLax/WLax Coach

GREENSBURG, PA – Seton Hill University President JoAnne Boyle has announced the hiring of Brian Novotny as the school's Men's and Women's Lacrosse Coach. Novotny replaces Rick Matthews as head coach.

Novotny joins the Seton Hill coaching staff after spending one season as head coach at Mt. Lebanon High School. While at Mt Lebanon, Novotny led the Blue Devils to the league championship in 2003 in addition to the Pennsylvania State Finals and the Midwest Scholastic Lacrosse Association Finals. Before coaching at Mt.Lebanon, Brian was the defensive coordinator and head coach at Franklin Regional High School for seven seasons.

Coach Novotny played lacrosse at the University of Pittsburgh and holds a degree in Secondary Education. He and his fiancée, Nicole, will be living in the Pittsburgh area.
