BALTIMORE, Md. - The women's lacrosse team will welcome 2008-2009 Under Armour All-America selection Gabi Wiegand to next year's squad. Wiegand, a senior defender from Bayshore High School in Bayshore, N.Y., was named to the prestigious All-America lacrosse roster this past week.

Ninety candidates were selected to the All-American roster, with 12 states being represented in the selection. Wiegand will participate in the fourth annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic Saturday June 27th at Towson University.

The Spiders graduated six seniors, including three-time All-American, Mandy Friend. Friend and senior Alli Furstenburg were All-Conference first team selections, with Furstenburg being named the Co-Offensive Player of the Year.
