Boston, Mass.–Major League Lacrosse (MLL) has announced each team's 2009 23-Man Active and 3-Man Practice Rosters for 2009, according to MLL Commissioner David Gross. Teams had until 5:00 pm ET today to submit their rosters to the League Office.

Teams were allowed to open training camp for the 2009 Season on April 25 with a maximum of 40 players on their Pre-Season Active Rosters (PSAR). Prior to this season, teams had been only been allowed 35 players in camp.

MLL teams with players still participating in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) Championship Game this Friday may protect those players through week one of the MLL season but must pare down their rosters to 23 by 5:00 pm on Monday, May 18.

The 2009 Major League Lacrosse Season begins on Friday, May 15 with the Washington Bayhawks hosting the Toronto Nationals at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, MD. Game time is 7:30 PM ET. The rest of the action gets underway on Saturday, May 16 with the Boston Cannons hosting the Long Island Lizards at Harvard Stadium and the Denver Outlaws hosting the Chicago Machine at INVESCO Field.
