But while Sylvania attempts to become school sponsored by two different institutions, they will likely continue to flourish in the club division. As the playoffs approach remaining focused will be critical.

"We will now be playing a lot of club teams that are not as good as the schedule we've played all year," Mellgren said. "I try to keep the kids focused by having them compete with each other everyday in practice."

While the Leafs compete against themselves, everyone else is simply trying to keep up, because few programs of any classification can rival what Sylvania has built.
