Corey Noonan Joins the Florida State Coaching Staff

The Florida State Seminoles are proud to announce the addition of Corey Noonan to the men's lacrosse coaching staff. Noonan, a former Seminole player, will assist Head Coach Bill Harkins with the offense and will work with the Seminole attack.

"I am very pleased that Corey will be joining our staff this year, said Harkins, Corey has been a leader by example on the field throughout his career at FSU and I believe he will bring that same work effort to coaching."

During his career at Florida State, Noonan became the Seminoles first ever four-time All American. He also earned the Doug Horn Award as the Southeastern Lacrosse Conferences Most Valuable Player in each of his four seasons. Noonan captained the Seminoles during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons.

"Corey understands what Seminole lacrosse is all about, said Harkins, He has always been like a player/coach during his four years, and as much as we will miss him on the field of play, we welcome him to the coaching ranks."

Noonan is looking forward to his transition from player to coach. Im very excited to be joining the coaching staff at Florida State, he said, and I will work very hard to be a good addition to the program. This is a great opportunity for me, and I cant wait to apply myself to the fullest.

The Seminoles begin fall practice in two weeks. This spring, the Seminoles will be looking to defend their SELC Championship and improve upon their finish in the MCLA National Championship, which ended with a one-goal loss to BYU in the quarterfinals in 2009.
