August 25, 2009 -- LaxPower's databases are now online with the first round of information we have received or gathered for where men's and women's recruits – both apparent early commitments in November and others – will be headed for the 2010-2011 season. The lists have over 250 men's and 125 women's players and will grow fairly rapidly and steadily over the next nine months.

Simply click on the Recruits link that appears at the left side of the LaxPower main pages or in the navigation matrix on the Forums. Listings for 2009-2010, 2008-2009, and 2007-2008 remain available as well.

There is another link to the Recruits page in the right-hand column on the home page. That section also contains links to signing announcements (2009-2010 for now, but changing to 2010-2011 once press releases for that class begin to arrive in late November).

The Recruits page has more information about the databases, FAQs for searching, and links to the form for submitting new names, updates, and corrections. A statistical summary tool for doing frequency distributions and cross-tabulations as well as links to the NCAA and NLI web sites can also be found there.

Other Notes

• As always, the listings are unofficial. We update them whenever more accurate information is available and are happy to receive corrections and new submissions.



• In the past, we did not post the new year's database until the early signing period for the National Letter of Intent (NLI) ended; it runs from November 11-18 this fall. However, recruit information appears on the web so much earlier these days that there is no longer much reason to wait.



• Bear in mind that it is very early in the recruiting season, and some of the players listed could well decide to attend a school other than the one listed. The databases will be updated as new information arrives. If you have information to add or correct, please let us know.



• Just because recruits are listed for a school does not mean that the school's list is complete, even for the fall NLI period. The regular NLI signing period for the spring begins on April 14 and continues until August 1.



• Information for the listings comes, in no particular order, from college and high school coaches, players, parents and friends, media outlets, and press releases.
