Oterson and Stroud Named to IWLCA All-Academic Squad
Limestone College's Kelly Oterson (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) and Joan Stroud (Monrovia, Md.) were named to the 2008-09 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Academic Squad, as announced by the IWLCA. Student-athletes named to the All-Academic squad had a 3.5 grade point average or higher or were in the top 10 percent of their squad. Honorees also have attained at least a junior standing academically.
Stroud, a spring 2009 graduate of Limestone, received a degree in athletic training. She minored in biology and coaching. Stroud was a defender for Limestone since her freshman season.
Oterson, currently a senior, is pursuing her degree in physical education. She has been a major contributor on Limestone's attack. Oterson has scored 62 goals and recorded 13 assists in her three seasons with the Lady Saints.
The IWLCA recognized 407 student-athletes at 152 institutions for their excellence in the classroom.
