Stockton Names Kevin Zulauf New Head Lacrosse Coach
Richard Stockton College has named Kevin Zulauf as its new head lacrosse coach. Zulauf elevates to the top spot for the Stockton program after two years as the assistant coach for the Ospreys. His lacrosse background also includes stints as a player at Wagner College and Stockton as well as previous coaching experience for numerous camps and youth teams.Under the tutelage of his predecessor Dick Rizk, Zulauf was involved with all aspects of the Stockton lacrosse program over the past two years including scouting, recruiting and coaching offense and defense for the Ospreys. Zulauf also has coached Ath-Ed Lacrosse and Jersey Thunder youth teams and served as a counselor at camps for Army, Christian Brothers Academy and Holmdel High School.
Zulauf played three seasons at Wagner College (2003-05) where he earned MAAC Second Team honors in 2005 and became the Seahawks' all-time leading goal scorer. He transferred to Stockton and finished his career by leading the Ospreys in scoring with 70 points and collecting a Knickerbocker Conference Second Team nod in 2006. His 40 assists that season equaled the second-best total in Stockton history while his 70 points rank fourth all-time.
Zulauf earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Stockton in 2007 and joined the Osprey lacrosse coaching staff under Dick Rizk shortly thereafter. Rizk, a member of the New Jersey Lacrosse Hall of Fame, retired in the spring after 18 seasons at Stockton and over 40 years of lacrosse coaching on the high school and college levels.
