Franklin & Marshall Lacrosse Announces Class of 2013

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall head men's lacrosse coach Todd Cavallaro announced his class of 2013 on Thursday. Thirteen players will vie for spots in the Diplomats' lineup when F&M opens the season at Roanoke on February 27. The well-decorated class features a combination of size and speed and should make an immediate impact for F&M.

"We are very excited about these young men" said Cavallaro. "They will add depth at every position and already have a tremendous commitment to their academics as well as our program."

Jordan Barr - 6'1", 175 - Attack - Jordan played football, basketball and lacrosse at the Saint James School in Maryland. A four-year varsity member and senior year captain, Jordan accounted for 128 goals and 59 assists in his four-year career. He made all-area three years and was the area player of the year as a senior.

Scott Beury - 5'10", 180 - Defense - A four-time member of the varsity lacrosse team at Upper Dublin High School, Scott helped his team to three Suburban One league championships. Scott made second team all-league as a sophomore and was first team all-league as both a junior and a senior. He was also league MVP as a senior.

Anthony Conroy - 5'10", 170 - Midfield - A two-time member of national powerhouse, St. Anthony's High School, Anthony helped lead his team to a division championship in 2009.

Reid Doucette - 5'9", 160 - Midfield/Attack - A three-year varsity player for Calhoun High School, Reid helped his team reach the Nassau County Playoffs all three years. In his three years, Reid had 59 goals and 78 assists, leading Calhoun in points junior and senior years. Reid also played soccer for three years and was a member of the National Honor Society and the National Science League.

Tim Gaines - 6'1", 195 - Midfield - A three-year varsity member at St. Paul's High School in Baltimore Maryland Tim helped his team reach the MIAA playoffs in all three years he was on the team. His senior year Tim was the recipient of the Lois D. Clark Loyalty Award given to the dedicated athlete who raises the level of his teammates play. He also received the Stephen W. Fertig Cup, presented to the athlete who best exemplifies strong and recognizable character traits.

Billy Higgins - 5'10", 165 - Midfield - Billy was a four-year member of the varsity at Owen J. Roberts High School. As a senior he was captain of his team and they were the first team to win a state playoff game.

Sean Kenny - 6'4", 200 - Midfield - A four-year starter in lacrosse and football at the Bernard School in New Jersey, Sean was senior year captain and two-time MVP of the lacrosse team. Sean accumulated 158 goals and over 100 assists in his 4 years on the squad. As a senior Sean was first team all-group and division in both football and lacrosse. In football he was captain and earned MVP honors after throwing and rushing for over 1,000 yards each his senior year.

Jimmy King - 6'0", 190 - Defense - A four-year starter four the Governor's Academy, Jimmy helped his team win four-straight Independent School League (ISL) championships. He was a two-time All-ISL selection and made All-New England his senior year. Jimmy also started all four years for the varsity football team, earning all ISL junior and senior years. As a senior Jimmy was captain of both the football and lacrosse teams. He also was awarded the Academy Prize his senior year. This prestigious award is given to one student every year and is based on overall academic, athletic and community achievements.
