BURLINGTON, Vt. - The University of Vermont women's lacrosse team recently raised over $5,000 for the American Cancer Society.

The team participated in the Chittenden County "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walk for the second straight year at Dorset Park in South Burlington, Vt.

Overall, the five-mile walking event raised over $215,000 the American Cancer Society in support of breast cancer awareness.
