WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's lacrosse squad welcomed eight freshmen to campus this past August. The recruiting class includes a number of All-America honorees as well as some local talent. The Hoyas will finish out their fall schedule on Saturday as they host a six-team tournament at Multi-Sport Field that includes James Madison, Louisville, Loyola (Md.), Florida and Maryland.
"We are bringing in a smart, athletic group of freshman and we expect them to compete for playing time this season," said Georgetown Head Coach Ricky Fried. "Our freshmen cover all positions and they are true student-athletes who will represent the school and contribute to campus both on and off the field."
On the attack, Dina Jackson is a local product that comes to Georgetown after a decorated high school career at The Bullis School. Jackson was a two-time US Lacrosse All-American and was a member of the 2009 All-Tewaaraton squad.
