Clark University Names Nick Gallagher Assistant Coach
Worcester, Mass. – Nick Gallagher, a former standout at Division III Ohio Wesleyan, has been named assistant lacrosse coach at Clark University, it was announced recently by Director of Athletics Linda Moulton.
"To be able to bring in someone of Nick's playing experience and character is a huge boost for our program," said first-year head coach Jeff Cohen. "We are excited to have him join our coaching staff."
As a four-year letterwinner at OWU, Gallagher helped led the Battling Bishops to four straight NCAA tournament appearances.
A four-time North Coast Athletic Conference All-Star, including a pair of first-team selections, he captained the team his senior year and wrapped up his career with 138 points (95 goals, 43 assists).
Gallagher spent the 2008-09 season as a volunteer assistant and head junior varsity coach at Olentangy Liberty High in Powell, Ohio where he assisted with all aspects of the Patriot program.
A high school All-American at Dublin (Ohio) Scioto, Gallagher spent four summers working as a camp counselor at the Ohio State University Lacrosse Camp.
He also gained experience at the Columbus Indoor Lacrosse League from 2005-09, where he helped oversee officials, facility management and other administrative duties.
A 2009 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan, Gallagher earned a degree in physical education with a concentration in sports management.
