Shipley Junior Julius Mouser Commits to Play at Rutgers

The Shipley School's (Bryn Mawr, PA) junior standout midfielder Julius Mouser (Havertown, PA) has verbally committed to Rutgers University and Coach Jim Stagnitta for an athletic scholarship to play lacrosse for the Scarlet Knights after his career at Shipley in the fall of 2011.

Mouser was the 2009 leading goal scorer for the Shipley Gators, with 55g and 28a, a school record for goals and points in a season. Mouser's squad finished 2009 with a 17-3 record, with a perfect 7-0 league record in the Friends Schools League, capturing the FSL Championship and setting a school record for wins in a season.

Mouser was a 1st team All FSL player in 2008 and 2009 and 1st team All-Main Line in 2009. His freshman year saw him pick up 20g and 12a to bring his career totals at Shipley to 75g and 40a- 115 career points in two seasons. Mouser has attended Top 205 lacrosse camp the past two summers while also playing for the LB3 Club Lacrosse Team, run by former Syracuse University Final Four MVP, Liam Banks. In 2009 Mouser was also selected to the Maverick Showcase All-Star game and the Philadelphia Showcase Jr All-Star Game held at Episcopal Academy in November.

Mouser is also a member of the USA Field Hockey Men's Olympic Development Team.
