* Today's contest marked just the second game of the 2010 women's lacrosse season. Denver opened the year with an 18-5 win at Saint Mary's (Calif.) on January 29.

* Navy is now 3-0 all-time against Howard. The Mids have outscored the Bison by a 65-14 margin in those three contests.

* Navy freshmen Jasmine DePompeo (Sayville, N.Y.) and Claire Olechowski (Annapolis, Md.) both registered their first collegiate goals.
