Leach Saves 22 as Greensboro Defeats Wesley

Greensboro, NC -- Matt Leach had 22 saves and Bryan Mercer had three goals and two assists as Greensboro College defeated Wesley, 11-10, on Saturday at the Smith Turf Fields.

Visiting Wesley, however, rallied and tied the game at 9-9 when Jack Skeels lit the scoreboard with 9:28 left in regulation. Skeels led the Wolverines with three goals and two helpers.

Yet the home team countered with unassisted scores from Mercer and John Anglin (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville). WC's Joe Treza tallied off a Nick Pisacano pass with 3:03 remaining. GC shut down the Wolverine man-up twice in the last 1:10 to seal the win.
