Greensboro Rallies to Down Birmingham Southern

Birmingham, Ala. -- Jordan Drumheller (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) scored the game-winner with 5:53 left in regulation as Greensboro College won at Birmingham Southern College, 8-7, on Tuesday night.

John Anglin (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) had a team-high three goals for GC, which improved to 4-2. Drumheller and Randy Brooks (Greensboro, NC/Southeast Guilford) tallied twice for The Pride.

Despite out-shooting BSC 31-27, GC did not lead until Drumheller's game-winner. The Cougars led 6-3 in the third quarter before The Pride rallied with two goals (Drumheller and Anglin) in the last 20 seconds of the period.

Freshman Adam Mills (Wexford, PA/North Alleghany) had The Pride's other goal. Goalkeeper Matt Leach (Charlotte, NC/Canon) had 8 saves for GC. Freshman Skip Jakupi (Greensboro, NC/Grimsley) won 15 of 18 face-offs.

Cameron Overton stopped 15 GC shots. Matt Ivie had one goal and one helper for Birmingham Southern (0-4).

The Pride next plays Sewanee on Thursday. The neutral site game will be played at Pace Academy in Atlanta at 3:30 p.m.
