16. Avon Old Farms (CT, NE West) • First game: @ McDonogh 3/23

17. St. Mary's (MD) (3-0) • The Saints won three games on consecutive days, defeating Virginia programs Collegiate School and St. Anne’s-Belfield on the road sandwiched around a 15-0 victory over the Hill School (PA). The competition will get stiffer this week, when St. Mary’s faces Landon on Friday at home on in its only game of the week.

18. John Jay (NY Sect 1) • First game: @ Brewster 4/1

19. Gilman (MD) (2-0) • The Greyhounds began their season by topping two perennial Virginia powers back-to-back. The first was a 14-12 victory over St. Anne's Belfield on Friday night, and the second was a 10-4 dismantling of Collegiate School in Richmond. The reigning MIAA champions have several new faces getting quality minutes, especially at midfield and on the defense. They will face off with non-conference rival Georgetown Prep on Tuesday in Bethesda.

20. Landon (MD IAC) • First game: Good Counsel 3/16

21. Summit (NJ) • First game: Randolph 4/3

22. Canandaigua Academy (NY Sect 5) • First game: @ Pittsford 3/30

23. Saint Andrew's School (FL) (9-1) • After cruising through their first nine games against in-state competition, untested with the exception of a one-goal victory over Lake Highland Prep, the Scots hosted top-ranked Boys’ Latin on Saturday and came away with a very respectable 13-12 loss. The schedule doesn’t get too much easier for Saint Andrew’s, as they will face out-of-state programs Fort Collins Unified (CO) and Brunswick (CT) on Monday and Wednesday before returning to Florida competition against Barron Collier on Saturday.

24. Delbarton School (NJ) • First game: Georgetown Prep (neutral site) 4/1

25. Smithtown West (NY Sect 11) • First game: Whitman 3/26



Cloverdale: Ty Xanders attended St. Paul's School for Boys and played volleyball for the Crusaders. After playing lacrosse for five years, Ty decided to give up the sport after his freshman year and instead avidly follow it. In March of his senior year, he began covering high school lacrosse for Inside Lacrosse as an intern. He is a freshman at Lynchburg College but is currently taking the semester off and living in Towson, Md. He plans on pursuing a degree in journalism and hopes to cover high school lacrosse and recruiting upon graduation. His hobbies include video games, going out with his friends, and following SEC football.

THEGilmanFan: Ryan Summers attended the Gilman School and played football and track and field for the Greyhounds. Ryan was a part of Gilman's 2002 nationally ranked football team, for which he played on the offensive line. Upon graduation from Gilman, Ryan attended the University of Dayton, where he would later receive a B.A. in psychology. Ryan currently resides in Odenton, Maryland and works for Keypoint Organization as a community outreach specialist. His job allows him to help mentally ill people become more independent and learn vital life skills. In his free time, Ryan enjoys playing video games, reading, and spending time with friends.

LI13: Chris Kieser is a senior at the University of Notre Dame, where he will graduate with a degree in Economics and History in May 2010. Before Notre Dame, he graduated from Northport High School on Long Island, where he was twice a member of the all-Suffolk County bowling team and attended nearly every boys' and girls' lacrosse game. He enjoys playing golf, poker, and watching baseball (New York Mets), college basketball (Duke and Notre Dame), and college football (Notre Dame), in addition to lacrosse. In the fall of 2010 he will be attending law school at a school to be determined.
