Hobart Deals Right Suits, Downs Binghamton in Home Opener

Suits' game-winner was set up by Curtin, who was under heavy pressure and did well just to get the ball out of his stick.

Binghamton got two chances to tie down the stretch. Rurey missed wide from point-blank with seven ticks left and Silberlicht collected Perrelle's final offering six second later.

Hobart held a 45-27 advantage in shots, a 29-17 edge in ground balls, and committed fewer turnovers (19-15). The Statesmen were successful on 90 percent of their clear attempts, while successfully riding the Bearcats 30 percent of the time.

Hobart begins ECAC Lacrosse League play on Sat., March 20, when the Statesmen host Quinnipiac. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
