Penn State Abington Loses to Chestnut Hill College

March 18, 2010 Abington, PA The Penn State Abington men's lacrosse team hosted Chestnut Hill College today in a non-conference match-up. Chestnut Hill College won by a score of 18-1 as they improve to 3-2 on the season and the Nittany Lions fall to 0-4.

The Griffins received goals from 8 different players. Leading the way for Chestnut Hill was freshman Junji Weiner (Houston, TX / Memorial) who had a game high five goals and 1 assist. Freshman Mark Lively (Anmore, BC / Heritage Woods Secondary) added 3 of his own goals and 2 assists.

The Nittany Lions only score came on an unassisted goals by freshman Andrew Hannigan (Philadelphia, PA / Archbishop Ryan) in the 1st period.

Chestnut Hill attempted 47 shots while Penn State Abington was only able to get 17 shots for the day.
