Presidents Rally Late to Edge Birmingham-Southern

GRANVILLE, Ohio -- Washington & Jefferson scored six goals in the fourth quarter to rally for a 12-10 men's lacrosse victory over Birmingham-Southern on Thursday afternoon at Denison University.

W&J (3-2) trailed for a majority of the match, but senior Jackson Doyle (Northville, Mich./Northville) provided four goals and two assists to help the Presidents win their second-straight contest.

Freshman attacker Joseph Eck (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) added three goals and one assist, while freshman midfielder Dylan Haas (Damascus, Md./Poolesville) contributed two goals and two assists. Sophomores Sean Hipley (Baltimore, Md./Towson Catholic) and Mark Ringeling (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) rounded out the W&J goal scorers.

Sophomore attacker Andrew Wallick (Canton, Ohio/North Canton Hoover) dished out a team-high three assists, while freshman Ran Kirby (Cleveland, Ohio/University School) earned his third collegiate win in goal.

The Presidents will look for their third-straight win Saturday night when traveling to Christopher Newport (Va.) for a 7:30 pm match.
