Woodard, Gallaher Lead Pride Past Methodist

Fayetteville, NC -- Layne Woodard ( East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) and Melissa Gallaher (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) both scored four goals and had two assists as Greensboro College won a USA South game at Methodist, 19-3, on Saturday. The Pride improved to 7-2, 3-1.

Christie Hebert (Alexandria, VA/West Potomac) and Toni Battaglia (Palm Beach Gardens, FL/Jupiter) also netted four goals for the visitors, which led 12-2 at halftime. Hebert dished one assist and Woodard won nine draws.

GC led in shots 32-13. Jessica Catanzano (Seaford, NY/Kellenberg Memorial) recorded three saves. Lindsay Cosgray ad nine saves for Methodist (3-6, 2-2).

The Pride next plays at Shenandoah next Saturday.
