Gesser Nets Three to Pace Greensboro over Randolph

Lynchburg, Va. -- The Greensboro College men's lacrosse team won at Randolph College, 12-8, on Saturday night.

Brad Gesser (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional) led the GC offense with three goals. Randy Brooks (Greensboro, NC/Southeast Guilford), John Anglin (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) and Nick Patrone (Supply, NC/Apex) all tallied twice for The Pride.

Freshman Skip Jakupi (Greensboro, NC/Grimsley) had one assist, won 14-17 face-offs and scooped 9 ground balls.

GC outshot RC 39-25. The Pride led 12-8 at halftime. The visitors entered the final quarter leading 10-5. Greensboro took its biggest lead after Jose Rodriguez (Wexford PA/North Allegheny) opened the final period's scoring with a goal at the 13:23 mark.

Goalkeeper Matt Leach (Charlotte, NC/Canon) played the first quarter and was credited with the win. T.J. Story had 4 goals and one helper to pace Randolph (0-7).

GC next hosts Otterbein on Tuesday.
