Players of the Week: Eastern Region

By Ryan Rohde

This week we look at two attackers in the Northeast who've gotten off to a torrid start and a North Carolina player who has a penchant for producing in the clutch.

Tommy Holland, Attack, Calvert Hall (MD)

Holland started 2010 with a bang. The Calvert Hall attackman netted six goals and one assist in each of the Cardinals' wins this week over Hill Academy (17-8) and Western Reserve Academy (19-6).

David Solomon, Attack, St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (DC)

Solomon was the driving force behind the Saints' two wins this week. In their 14-3 win over Potomac (DC), he scored two goals and handed out four assists. The next day, Solomon tallied four goals to go along with two assists as St. Stephen's & St. Agnes upset Boys' Latin, 11-7.

Alec Boyle, Myers Park (NC)

Boyle's goal with 9.3 seconds left in the fourth quarter gave Myers Park a 12-11 win over defending state champion Providence. This was the first win over Providence in Myers Park program history, a span of 14 games.
